Autumn Transitional Dressing

WHAT I’M WEARING

Transitional dressing is a really useful way of getting the most out of your wardrobe. Especially if you don’t feel like you wore your fave summer pieces enough this year!

A lot of my wardrobe is made up of neutral tones and staple shapes. For me this really helps to work in new pieces, prints and texture. It makes dressing for in-between seasons so much easier and can give new life to what you already own.

Summer dresses and skirts can work really well paired with a chunky knit and a leather jacket or trench coat. Camis can look amazing styled with suits (or even just a straight leg trouser!). Midi dresses or skirts worn with a shorter jacket and trainers is one of my fave looks right now. In general I’ll switch my July/August outfits up by adding in a black boot or layering jumpers & jackets on top.

I’ve put together some of my favourite pieces online right now that I think are great to work with your existing summer styles. Hopefully meaning you won’t be left with the ‘I have nothing to wear while staring at a wardrobe full of clothes’ dilemma, we’ve all been there!
