I don’t know what I’d do without a good pair of denim and a white shirt in my wardrobe! They’ve become such staple wardrobe pieces for me. This Topshop shirt has the tie detail and puff sleeves which gives it a little extra something for summer, but still works perfectly in my wardrobe.
WHAT I’M WEARING
For me, a wardrobe staple is usually a classic shape in a neutral colour. I love layering and styling an outfit with these pieces all year round. Although it’s summer here in the UK, the weather is always all over the place. So I’ll always reach for denim or a blazer on colder days, as I know they’ll usually work perfectly with whatever I’m wearing- but I love knowing these pieces will also last me through the rest of the year too!
One thing I also love about wearing good staple basics is that it allows me to try out more trend lend pieces when I’m accessorising. I’m obsessed with this box bag and studded slingbacks. For example if I wanted to bring a pop of colour or print into an outfit, accessorising always works for me.
